In You, Lord, I Have Taken Refuge

In you, Lord, I have taken refuge;
    let me never be put to shame.
In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me;
    turn your ear to me and save me.
Be my rock of refuge,
    to which I can always go;
give the command to save me,
    for you are my rock and my fortress.
Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked,
    from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel.
For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord,
    my confidence since my youth.
From birth I have relied on you;
    you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.
    I will ever praise you.
I have become a sign to many;
    you are my strong refuge.

  1. Hello sister Marlene. I am a Pastor from Mumbai, India. I am so glad to come across your profile and the blog post on the blogger and I am blessed by your post on "Prayer For Today" from Psalm 71:1-7 with the title In You, Lord I have taken Refuge. I am also blessed and feel privileged and honored to get connected with you as well as know you through your profile on the blogger and the blog post. I love getting connected with the people of God around the globe to be encouraged, strengthened and praying for one another. I have been in the Pastoral ministry for last 38 yrs in this great city of Mumbai a city with a great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We reachout to the poorest of poor with the love of Christ to bring healing to the brokenhearted. We also encouraged young and the adults from the west to come to Mumbai to work with us during their vacation time. We would love to have you come to Mumbai with young people from your church to encourage and to work with us during their vacation time. I am sure you as well as the young people will have a life changing experience. My email id is: dhwankhede(at)gmail(dot)com and MY NAME IS Diwakar Wankhede. Looking forward to hear from you very soon. God's richest blessings on you, your family and friends. I am in Calgary, canada with my son and his family on a visit. I would have been so glad to visit you and your family while I am in Calgary, Canada but leaving on 19th June back to home. God willing will be coming to Canada, Calgary once again next year God willing.
